By accessing and using the Digital Shield app and services ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Use of Service

Our Service provides family safety features including real-time location tracking, SOS emergency alerts, safe and danger zone monitoring, location sharing links, family circle management, and AI-powered risk detection. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities under your account.

3. Safety Features Disclaimer

When using Digital Shield safety features, you acknowledge that:

• The app is a safety tool but not a substitute for professional emergency services
• Location accuracy depends on device capabilities and signal strength
• You should always contact local emergency services (911, etc.) in critical situations
• AI risk detection is advisory and may not identify all potential risks
• You are responsible for the accuracy of contact information and zone configurations

4. SOS and Emergency Alerts

When you activate an SOS alert, Digital Shield will immediately notify your designated emergency contacts with your real-time location. By using this feature, you authorize us to share your location and alert status with these contacts. False or abusive use of SOS alerts may result in account suspension.

5. Location Sharing

You can share your location with family members, care administrators, and through temporary sharing links. You control who has access and can revoke access at any time. You are responsible for managing permissions and understanding that shared recipients can see your real-time location.

6. Subscription and Payments

We offer Basic (free) and Premium (paid) subscription plans. Premium subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or yearly basis. You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are provided only in accordance with our refund policy.

7. Data Usage and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of information as detailed in our Privacy Policy, including location data, contact information, and usage patterns.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Digital Shield and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the Service.

9. Limitation of Liability

Digital Shield shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use or inability to use the Service. We do not guarantee the accuracy of location tracking, zone detection, or AI risk analysis. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Users should always exercise caution and contact professional emergency services when needed.

10. Account Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service at our discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes via email or through the app. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
